LaMarr Woodley Helps Save Saginaw Athletics

Saginaw Public Schools in Michigan were suffering from the consequences of the recession. Athletic programs were about to be cut. The only way student-athletes with the ambition of making it to the professional ranks had a chance to pursue their dreams was if they were to pay their way through high school athletics through a pay-to-play system. Woodley, linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers and former Saginaw High star, recognized the trials and tribulations facing the county and donated $60,000 to help cover the pay-to-play fees. Now, student-athletes have a better chance to pursue their dreams. Check out the original story here.
