Video: Touching moment at hockey game, as soldier reunites with family

It was supposed to be just an ordinary ceremonial puck drop for Kentucky natives and siblings, Karisma and Phillip Gallardo, who were attending the Cincinnati Cyclones-Evansville IceMen ECHL game with their family.

After the mascot headed off the ice, acting like he had forgotten the puck, a surprise guest made an appearance. Their father, a U.S. soldier they thought was still deployed in Afghanistan and who they hadn't seen in over a year, made his way out on to the ice. The reactions from his children are priceless: Break out the tissue box.
