Washington County high school soccer teams score one for charity

Senior soccer players in Washington County, MD, finished off their season with an event to help out those less fortunate. In just its third year, the "Kick'n It For A Cause" event generated over $1,300 toward the Shirley B. Robison Memorial Fund, a fund that helps cancer patients and families of cancer patients. The game between Clear Spring High School and Boonsboro High School symbolized a day in which members of the Washington County community came together to root for an initiative that aims to defeat such an awful disease. The creators of "Kick'n It For A Cause" plan on continuing the tradition for years to come. All of those involved should be commended for raising awareness.
