DigitalSports Internship Mission of the Week! (Due 4/12)

Intern Mission: Summarize a game
(Due Date: Saturday, 4/12/14)
For our next DigitalSports Internship Mission, we are asking student journalists/photojournalists to summarize a spring sporting event on their respective DigitalSports team site and are asking web designers to create a team page banner.
  Journalists/Photojournalists:
In 250 words or more, write a game summary after a game is completed. Don't just report on the final score, but also write about the turning points and pivotal moments that led to the end result. Attach at least one photo from the game to the article. Some things to consider when writing:
  • What important plays led to the win or loss?
  • Who was the player of the game?
  • What needs to be improved for the next game?
Example article headline: Cardinals rally late for thrilling win over Eagles
Photographers/Videographers:
Photographers can snap at least 15 images of critical moments or action shots throughout the game. Videographers can take one video of an important moment in the game. Some ideas for photographers/videographers:
  • Catch an in-the-moment shot
  • Capture fans' reaction to a big play
  • Videotape the last few seconds of the game (using a mobile phone is perfectly acceptable!)
Web Designers:
Create a custom banner for your team or school site. The image must be 992 x 150 and no larger than 1MB. Please submit your banner to media@digitalsports.com and we will upload it for you.
**Post all articles and media to the DigitalSports high school site you registered for**
If you have any questions, please contact media@digitalsports.com. You can also call (267) 756-1226.Good luck!
