Showdown in Arizona as Hamilton hosts Chandler

Two of Arizona’s finest are set to go head-to-head as Hamilton hosts Chandler in their regular season finales.  The Copper State showdown is set for Friday, October 29. The home team, Hamilton, has been flawless thus far at 9-0, earning the 33rd rank in the DigitalSports National Football Rankings and 2nd in Arizona.  Chandler currently sit at 13th in the nation and 1st in the state at 8-1, with its only loss coming from the Bishop Gorman, the best team in high school football. Hamilton walks into the game with the momentum of a 62-14 triumph over Basha.  Quarterback Travis Lockhart threw for 221 yards and four touchdowns.  Senior receiver Caleb Pitts was on the end of four passes, gaining 114 yards and a score. Coming off a 28-6 victory over a strong Brophy College Prep squad, Chandler is looking forward to a bigger offensive performance with star running back Chase Lucas expected to be back to 100 percent.  The senior running back has been battling a knee injury ever since the Bishop Gorman game in week 2.  Mason Moran is coming off an incredible 21-of-29, 240 yard, two TD performance, intending to bring that precision into this weekend’s contest. The Hamilton-Chandler match has always been one of excitement.  Chandler has claimed three of the last four matches; however before that, Hamilton won 12 in a row.  Do not miss the next thrilling installment.  Kickoff is at 7:00pm.
